Coffee Days and Happy Hours
The ASU Sun Devil Family Association hosts local and nationwide coffees, tours, info sessions and happy hours. ASU parents of current and prospective students, alums and parents of alums, grandparents, family members and current and prospective students are all invited to share Sun Devil pride at local and regional events.
If you're interested in hosting your own Coffee Day, contact Robin Hengl at email@example.com.
Orientation at ASU is important for incoming freshmen so that they may understand the academic rigor of the university. However, Orientation is just as important for parents so that they may learn about the trials and tribulations that their children may encounter during the year.
Incoming students will face academic and social challenges, learn responsibility, and gain independence throughout their college career. Their relationships with their family members will also change. Orientation provides families an understanding of student development and equips them with tools to work with maturing students.
For more information about orientation, please visit the ASU New Student orientation website.
Fall Welcome is your opportunity to get acquainted with the campus, learn ASU traditions and become familiar with ASU services and resources. At Fall Welcome you will have the chance to interact with other new students and families and meet ASU faculty and staff.
Signature family association events at Fall Welcome include our hospitality room - enjoy a cool drink while you chat with seasoned parents who have "been there before."
For more information about Fall Welcome, visit the Fall Welcome website.
We invite you to come to campus for ASU Family Weekend festivities. From going to class with your student to the Family Weekend Tailgate, there is something for everyone. Bring the entire family as there is even a separate program for siblings.
For more information, please visit the Family Weekend website.
During the Homecoming parade, students, alumni and communities surrounding ASU have crafted floats and paraded through downtown Tempe showcasing their school and community spirit.
Parent enthusiasm is at an all time high at Homecoming as the family association enters our annual float in the parade. March in the parade, cheer us on from the crowds or relax in our booth at the tailgate. If you want to have a great time, this event is for you - no experience required.
Want to help build the float? Want to join us in the parade? To join the fun, send an email with your contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org.
